I hear them a lot in winter. When I go out at night to fill the wood fired boiler sometimes I bring a shotgun if they are close. I see the tracks in the snow but have never seen one.
I have not seen a rabbit in over a year and a half.

We are rural and have a few creatures. Very seldom do we see cottontails. We have heard them for all the 15 years we have lived here, but saw their scat a time or 2. No coyotes that we have actually seen on our property. My Son lives in town and see coyotes quite often. Probably Obama trained.

We live at the edge of a park and hear them many nights and occasionally see one running down the streets of our gated community..

And weekly see new posters for missing pets.

They keep their pieholes shut around here lest they become wolf food.

I can hear coyotes, antelope, meadowlarks, some owls, and not much of anything else. Absolute silence 99% of the time when I sit on my porch other than the occasional critter making noise.

Hear them almost nightly around here. See them along the highway on the way to work. No shortage of song dogs in SE Alberta.

We have lots of owls and bald eagles.
Maybe why I never see a rabbit.

Hope I never have to move to where I can't hear coyotes once in a while.

p/s saw 3 javelina running through the woods this afternoon, 6A full ponderosa forest.

I don't usually hear them but I do see them walking down the street in front of the house occasionally.

Hear 'em all the time out here south of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Every time the damned things start howling, it gets all the dogs in our neighborhood worked up into a frenzy. Two ankle biters and a cat that I know of have come up missing, no doubt the work of the local 'yotes. Of course the tree huggers down the street just can't fathom that their little weiner dog Fritz was little more than an hors d'ourve for the pack.

I have never heard a Fox howl but I do know they yip.
I have heard Wolves howling not 5 (five) miles from my home but to date not FROM my home.
I very much enjoy all the sounds of nature.

VG, foxes will make a 'yipping' sound, especially with young ones around. Have you ever heard a fox 'in heat', make the 'screaming' sound?

You can hear it here- (I dont know how to post vids)

Can hear them sometimes, almost always early morning. There is an overgrown lot about 30 yards from my place. In the last few years we have had both a young moose and a mountain lion take up temporary residence in it.

I 'love' hearing the feedback from the 90 gr. Sierra HPBT that comes from this 22/250 as it slaps one!

Since I moved to the hills east of Albuquerque two months ago, the neighbors warned me about coyotes' killing the small dogs and cats.

I've put my four Jack Russell Terriers in their cages in the garage every night before sundown and they seem happy to go. I have about an acre fenced in, but the fence is only about four feet high, not enough to keep out coyotes or mountain lions. Maybe because of their upbringing in Japan, the dogs spend most time on the one-story elevated patio, not in the scrub away from the house.

In the past two weeks, I've heard coyotes howling three times between two and 4:30 am and I may have slept through others. Clearly they are here.

The problem is proximity of other houses, as most of us have only about 2.5 acres. I'd pop the 'yotes, but one has to take care not to disturb the neighbors. I've considered .22 target loads and 12 gauge turkey loads, but either of those seems very loud in the quiet nights here, Thoughts?

The local houndmen are pretty hard on them, but still hear some occasionally. I have been known to howl at the moon after a few brewskies and that gets the coyotes going and the farm dogs.
