You need to shoot longer than 300 yds with that rifle, far enough that there is vertical dispersion.

It could be smaller case capacity caused the velocity difference. Definitely not right on those two. I think, therefore I am, conservative.

Assuming your velocities are correct, the difference vertically in POI @ 300 yards should only be .9" Getting 6" of horizontal is the worrisome part. What was the wind doing? Do you shoot over wind flags?

Someone needs a new chronograph, scale or both! He was going up by 1/2 grain increments with a 90+ gr case capacity, with a sample of 1 for each load. The Chronograph resluts could easily be valid. I've seen similar results with ladders in large cases. You didn't use logic or reason to get into this opinion, I cannot use logic or reason to get you out of it. You cannot over estimate the unimportance of nearly everything. John Maxwell
