Since I was part of the 24 HCF MRC 260 Rem buy I promised I was going to learn how to post pictures, hopefully to document the load development of the rifle. Well I have been dragging my feet until my grandson killed his first deer. This was killed Saturday Oct. 31 in Franklin County Virginia. His dad and myself are very proud of this buck!

I would estimate this deer to be close to 200# on the hoof, which is much larger than the average deer in our area and large than any deer I have taken.
His father said he was very calm during the whole thing until they got down from the stand and saw how big he actually was, then they both got excited. When I got there and saw the deer on the ground I was shaking with excitement also and it has been many years since that has happened.
Like others here said, that is going to be very hard to ever top.

Congrats! My son got his first this year too. There is nothing quite like the seeing them excited to get their first!
