I just thought I'd head you guys off at the pass because I knew it was coming.
Both of my muzzle loaders have them. They were the first scopes I ever had and wasn't sure about scopes and wanted to keep my options open. I had a guy tell me at a gun shop one time that it was a huge mistake, but I'm still not sure why. Everyone on the Fire seems to hate them, but I've never had a problem. Matter of fact, I've had to use the open sights a couple of times when the scope got fogged up in the rain and snow.

Yea, Yea.....you guys are hard on the newbee. Last year it was my Bushnell, now I'm gonna get beat up for the see through mounts. I am....I'm emotionally compromised. You better watch out, now I might go out and shoot the place up or something.  I only have 2 sets, that's one of my muzzle loaders. Can I get a pass for only having 2? I promise I won't do it again. And no Bubba-Buddies here.

and don't give me schit for my see through mounts either, I use my open sights occasionally. You never know when you might need'em.
