As I am sure you are aware by now, last year we established a "Deal of the Day" section on our site. This, " Deal of the Day" is posted everyday I am here at work, assuming I find the time each day to do this, lol. We buy lots of demos, close-outs and assorted new product deals and sometimes we wind up with enough to offer crazy cheap deal on something awesome. Minox ZV-3 3-9x40 Mino-Plex Reticle Riflescope #66005 or the Minox ZV-3 3-9x40 BDC Reticle Riflescope #66006 reduced to only $99.99 thru Christmas Eve. All ZV 3 riflescopes are designed and engineered in Germany, and feature a 1-inch aircraft grade anodized aluminum, mono-tube design. They are nitrogen filled and fully waterproof. The fully multi-coated lenses (with M* coatings) offer rich and detailed images and the smooth mechanics have these riflescopes performing well. Designed and engineered in Germany 1-inch aluminum mono-tube design Nitrogen filled and fully waterproof Over 4 inches of eye relief Fully multi-coated lenses * These " Deal of the Day" opportunities last as long as we have inventory so if you see this and want this please give a call or check our site. All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Do the BDCs have two or three lines below the reticle intersection?

Thanks Doug. Do you have subtension values for these? I think the subtension chart on your website is for the previous model with two hashmarks.

Dre- that link is for previous models, which used a 200 yard zero and had two lines below the reticle intersection, one for 300 yards and one for 400. Doug received a similar chart for the current models and forwarded it to me. Below is that part of the chart for the 3-9x and it's sitting over the top of a ballistics chart from jbmballistics.com. Not knowing what 150 gr. bullet Minox used, or the elevation, I used a Partition and 2000' elevation in jbm. The calibration they're citing is just to kinda let us know what they used to figure out how far below the crosshair to put the lines. Different bullets, velocities, elevations, etc. will all generate different drops and drifts that won't match exactly where they've put the drop lines and how wide they made the drift lines. The cells I've highlighted in yellow are how much the reticle "covers" in inches at 100 yards on 9x. The numbers in the column to the left of these cells are on 3x. On 9x, you can see the heavy section is 1.62" at 100 yards, the thin section 0.24", and the thin opening 25.08". A difference on the current models from the chart you linked is that the current reticle uses a 100 yard zero with drop lines for 200, 300, and 400. The "vertical distance" numbers in the highlighted cells are how far below the crosshair, in inches, the particular line is. But, remember that these measurements are figured at 100 yards, so you'd have to multiply the numbers by 2, 3, and 4 to get the actual measurements at 200, 300, and 400 yards. For example, the vertical distance for 300 yards is shown as 3.34". Multiplying that by 3, the actual space between the crosshair and 300 yard line would be 10.02" if you were looking at a target at 300 yards. You can see on the jbm chart in the background that it is showing 10.2" drop at 300 yards. As for the windage lines, the numbers highlighted are the total widths. You'd divide that number in half, because you're only using one side of the vertical line or the other, and then again multiply by 2, 3, or 4 to get the actual numbers at the distances the lines are for. The lines are based on a 10 mph full value wind, meaning perpendicular to your line-of-sight. This being a second focal plane reticle, the magnification needs to be on max for the drop and drift lines to approximate shooting at those distances and wind speed. Hope that makes sense and helps. I think you can right click and view the image to make it bigger.
