The first stainless steel revolver I ever saw was a Ruger Security Six. It was priced at $176 bucks. It sat beside a Colt 1911. Looking at the Colt, I thought "this this silver looking thing will never sale." Wrong!

My father purchased the Security Six in 1974-75? I have it know.
When I was 15, I saved up the money and my father bought me a Model 19 with 6" barrel. It was a beautiful firearm, more so than I could appreciate. Went through a divorce...and had to sell it...fast and cheap.

That pretty much ended my revolver buying for the next 15 years.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have a lot more 70's era Smiths. I don't think that anything currently in production matches the class built into the design and production of those revolvers.

I envy you guys. Firearms like you guys post are almost never seen in my small town. When you see them, they are in poor shape, and overpriced.

Thanks for sharing.

For looks, it's hard to beat Colts full rib and underlug. Cool.
