Just had to post this. The nicest double action revolvers I have had the honor of handling. These 2 Colts came through Denver a while back and the manager of the pawnshop let me fondle them for an hour or so. Sure hope it was as good for them as it was for me... These are a pair of 1919 Colts that had belonged to Ed McGivern. Deep, deep bluing and ivory grips...they were/are quite the pieces...

I shoot this one almost daily (no weekends; range is full of gangsters in wife-beater T-shirts teaching Maria how to shoot the Jennings). Don't shoot one-hundreds often, but enough to keep me coming back. Bob Is that a K or an L? Travis

New production model 17, it's a shooting sumbish. 629 my folks gave me when I graduated HS. This one is going in my casket with me. Along with a Marlin so chambered. Dunno what ammo supply is like in the happy hunting grounds, might be nice to have a rifle and handgun co-chambered. In spite of my mad love for my 629, this no dash 586 gets carried the most.

Thanks, those are Herrett's. Had them on the 586 for awhile but they just don't work for out of the holster work. On the 17 though they're the cat's azz.
I liked that 3" 60 you posted up earlier. I have a -10 I bought my wife for her 21st bday. Since then I've swapped the springs, stoned it, and added a trijicon up front. Wish I had a couple more, that thing is friggin awesome.
Ever since I was a kid and shot my uncle's 17 I'd wanted one. I could hit the caps on milk jugs with surprising regularity. I was no great shot then, nor am I now, but man I've a warm and fuzzy for those 6" .22 Smith's. Waited a long time, and finally decades later a local gun store had a new one in the case. Was a lot of dough for a damn .22, but hell I just bought the damn thing.

Some J frame targets and the suede lined holster they occupy when they are chosen to be carried afield. Top to bottom: 60-4 .38; 43 airweight .22; 51 22 mag nickel; 63 .22; 34 .22; and 631 .32 mag. Notice no keyhole locks, and forged hammers & triggers:
