People who want to make the list can carry on.....

Thanks for your contribution (in helping me know who not to deal with).

Need more info to make your case. You obviously want to make one....but you obviously did not. I've dealt with Marty and it goes way back. I think I've dealt with you, too. And it must have gone good.

Tony, You were flat out wrong on this one. I have done deals with both I am sure. Marty split the package the way he wanted. I don't see why you even started this post. AK said he was sending you a PM. These stupid post always seem to turn out this way.

257,

Didn't say he was unethical, just an clueless idiot.

BTW, I'm not the first person to have been the recipient of this clueless behavior.....

Rock on....

Tony

PS: I don't need to make a case to prove anything to anyone. I really could give a schit who believes me or not. The facts are the facts...a person was contacted via one of two communication methods on this forum, with an I'll take it 1hr prior to another person saying I'll take in using the other communication method.

The second person got the merchandise, fine.

I'm simply pointing that out.

A simple screenshot of your PM would solve everything right now. You wont, because you didnt.

What you wanted (the barrel) was never offered for sale by itself. Seems like unless you offered to buy both items in the sellers updated ad you're crying over nothing.

It is also obvious that there are people looking for nothing but extremely good deals in the ads, for the purpose of reselling somewhere else.

Doesn't seem that way. The fact that you posted a thread clearly suggests otherwise, and basically says this guy is currently living rent free in your head.

I know this isn't the common "feeling" on the matter, but being the first to post "I'll take it" means absolutely nothing. Period. The seller is free to sell to whomever he sees fit. The classifieds section isn't Wal Mart on Black Friday, so give that notion up.

Look at it this way. Let's say I post an item for sale one evening, and finally get a chance to check my emails a couple hours later. While checking those emails, I see I have 2 messages saying "I'll take it" on the item I posted. The 1st one is from a guy who just joined the forum, and the 2nd is from someone I'm familiar with on the forum and someone I have done deals with in the past. Guess who I am going to sell to??

I tire of the trust issues that sellers talk about. The trust is all on the part of the buyer. First "I'll take it" should get it. Your add is an offer of a sale and an honerable person would honor those who accept the offer in the order they were recieved. That being said, when something is sent vie pm with no mention of it in the sale ad, it might go unnoticed and a deal from the ad may be sealed first, before pm's are read. You take your chances if you dont at least say... message sent or something in the add

yes, it would seem so. Like failing to read that the barrel wasnt for sale separately. Im sure you have PMs to prove us wrong though. We'll just wait for those.

Tell you what 'pig, pm the person in question and ask him whether I PM'd him at 8:44pm, telling him that someone wants the rifle, and that I would take both stock and bbl, which would complete his sale.

If he doesn't state that, then he is both a clueless idiot and a liar.

Other than that I don't need to prove anything to you.

Like I said, let it go....
