Is there a dink thread for piggies....? My pard Big Al sold his business and bought a chunk of ground infested with the little, uh.....dwarfs. Hell I've caught bass bigger than some of these porkers we whacked.......oh well......as stated, targets of opportunity are a good thing.....little bigger than jackrabbit size......think we wound up with 14 of the little dwarfs and a few big 'uns. I am reading A hunters wanderings in Africa, F.C.Selous, the effort they put into killing giraffes for table fare was just crazy.
The neck roast are to die for !

They actually drove them like cattle back near the wagons before shooting them, and yes they talked about slow cooking the bone to get the marrow out, they said shooting the bulls was only done as a last resort, or for meat to feed the blacks, as they called them.

I was on a game catch in Namibia once and we caught and moved 13 giraffe IIRC...did it just the way you are talking about, plus a light tranquilizer ( don't want to knock them out per se, or they'll die.....just made them dopey and covered their eyes.) It was great good fun!
