........it's pretty obvious that Cruz/Kasich should just plain drop out - today.. It's over for those two; has been for Kasich since Feb..

And then Cruz referred to the hoop as a 'basketball ring'. LMAO. THAT'LL go over real well in IN...

So, after last night, if they continue to stay in, isn't it then fairly well assured that the GOP is working behind doors to figure out a way to defy the voters? And what will be THAT result? Voters stayin' home and giving the election to TFP?? Or will there truly be riots in the streets from voters who do NOT WANT another career politician being foisted on 'em by the establishment GOP? Will it be the final expiration of the GOP?

Or all the above?

What's wrong with requiring a candidate to get 50% of the vote to decide who the nominee is?

Nothing, what Cruz's plan to get the magic 50% before the convention?

Same for Kasich, what are his options to get to 50% before the convention?

After last night cruz has no political future of any kind.
Very much like Rick Santa-store-chit.
Standing on a party platform that crushes middle class manufacturing jobs and sucking chi-com cock will do that for you.

Is this the first presidential election that any of you have ever experienced? The rules may suck, but you don't change them at the end of the game. You play by them. I don't hear anybody bitching about the fact that Trump has 22% more delegate count than his popular vote.

The majority was thwarted by the large number of hopefuls on the stage spreading the vote out between them until quite recently. Now I know you Trumpians will not agree but had there been 5 or 6 starting out, I doubt Trump would even be in it by now.

At worst, Cruz has the most secure seat in the Senate. You guys are out there.

Not a damn thing when the POPULACE actually has a vote.

If the other candidates stay in and can somehow maintain their voter support... Trump is looking at 1270ish delegates anyway.

Good.

If he wins it outright, maybe people will stop crying about arcane caucus systems that have been in place longer than most people here have been alive.

Then, they could focus their efforts into the general, and all their wasted whining into changing the primary systems in states they aren't residents in.

Reminds me of a certain very popular representative from Texas, whos never gotten a single bill passed.
cruz ego would not allow him to keep his pie hole shut.
He could have been VP.
He could have been on the SCOTUS.
Now he will be the most ineffective member of the senate.
Secesh are pretty good at making themselves irrelevant.

Nothing. But in a year when the people are fed up with politicians and political maneuvering, trying to get to 50% through political maneuvering will be suicide. Cruz was right when he said kasich should get out when he had no path to the nomination. He was hypocritical when he stayed in after his path ended.

Now is the time for republicans to unite. But Cruz wants to keep fighting for a nomination in a way that will drive off enough potential supporters that there is no way he'll win the general.

For the first time, I really believe she's NOT gonna get in..

Mainly due to this: I think the Bernsies will NOT automatically go to TFP when he drops out. The majority of the Bernsies just HATE TFP, and they might very well slide over to DT (assuming he's the candidate). There's a LOT of Bernsies - and moving most of those against her via the GOP entry means she's absolutely TOAST..

That - and the fact that DT's got balls, and will go after her with a ferocity she cannot match - nor will her record in gov't help her one teeny bit.

And with the FBI breathing down her neck, I think she's gonna have a very BAD year..

I'll agree that starting out with 17 people didnt help a thing.
We cant very well start telling anyone they cant run for president though.
.... and as far as the process, you have to ask yourself, which candidate came by what he has the most honestly ? ...even after factoring in the Caucus states ?
Keep in mind there were never any : # never ... JEB! or
Marco or
Carly or
Christy or
Huck or ......

or meetings on Sea Island for the specific purpose of stopping anyone but Trump.... unless Ive missed something ?
