A most excellent purchase--for little more than the value of the parts.
I might be tempted to go to the gunmakers guild meeting this winter and handle a number of stocks from different makers. It is so subjective.

I'd send it to Gene and put it in a Legend.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Utah - I did exactly that a few years back and took notes. I'll need to dig those out.
Bob - Have a classic FW in .280 stocked in a Hill Country "Bridges" Edge, my main whitetail rifle.
TC - great suggestion!

I've heard that as well Butch. Any idea what he likes to drink? Would a bottle of 30 y/o Scotch help?

Somewhere I have pictures of a stock done by Gene Simillion that is top shelf. A beautiful rifle.
Folks don't talk much about it but his wood stocks are first class.

Sure don't know about his drinking preference. Simillion does nice work.

No matter who does it... It will turn out great I am sure. Nice grab Doug! Wish I would have seen it first!
