If a company refuses to represent my interests, I won't represent its interests. I agree with you but the idea that a politician should call for a boycott of companies that don't support his position and the thought that any mindless would follow that call for a boycott is crazy!

It's not mindless. It's a strategy. Trump represents Nationalism. Nationalism represents the people. If a company operating in the U.S. doesn't want the people to have representation they deserve to go under and a have another fill the gap.

Norman:
Does this not bother you or are ok that a large segment of the country including many conservatives are pulling back from Trump?
I have mentioned numerous times that I feel Trump is a "Plant" working with the Clintons to gut the GOP and the closer we get to the general election the more true this looks. So the same companies that control both the GOP and the DNC through legal bribes (aka the Clinton foundation and super pacs) are pi$$ed off that they can't buy Trump and you think it's a problem? Working class folks have been getting screwed since Clinton V1.0 and the fat cats are getting fatter. Look at the wealth distribution numbers and tell me how that's working out? I no respect for the federal government, it's corrupt and no logger represents the people of this nation and it's over due for a good burning.

And how well did Nationalism work in 1917 and again in 1938? Nationalism has forced too many world conflicts and is that where you want to go?

America always embraced Nationalism until the Bolsheviks got involved,....just like Russia embraced Nationalism until the Bolsheviks killed 60 million people and enslaved the rest through Communism. Nationalism is the only thing standing between America and the Bolsheviks.

I know that you were only 8-9 years old in 1938 but I would like to think all of us can learn from the mistakes of history so here is a link for you. Take a little time and read it... http://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/nazi-partyUnder the leadership of Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or Nazi Party, grew into a mass movement and ruled Germany through totalitarian means from 1933 to 1945. began attracting new members with speeches blaming Jews and Marxists for Germany’s problems and espousing extreme nationalismIs this a reminder of the dangers of nationalism?

If the convention rests on donations from all those big money donors, that tells you who's running the country.

Walt references hitler and is voting for hitlary. Nuff said.
It's no surprise that the corporations that bare a large responsibility for the downfall of our great nation don't support Trump. It's Trumps greatest attribute.

Equating Nationalism in the US with German Socialism of 1932 on is an unreal reach.

To start German jews were not illegally in the country, nor seeking bottom-tier jobs. They were business owners.
Now, if we started hunting business owners, they would not run heavy to any one specific race, gender, nor nationality. The comparisons are hardly compelling...

And here is another reason the GOP convention is in serious peril. I am not sure is you guys really want Trumps true supporters to show up in mass. Or maybe you do? http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article86317537.htmlWhite nationalist group says it will be at Republican conventionThink this may be the reason corporate sponsors are choosing to pass on this disaster of an event?

So how much money is needed to nominate someone to run for president that sponsorship is needed? Have to hand it to Trump. He flushes out the rats and exposes what a filthy cesspool Washington politics really is.

The issue is, the establishment republicans want Trump to take their money. If he takes their money, they control him.
The establishment republicans (and democrats) ARE the problem and not the solution.
Trump is the roadblock to establishment politics and both sides hate him for it. You can call it what you want but if Trump takes republican money, we become slaves again.
