Looks like I wont be able to make it there until friday afternoon. My boss is going to be out of work and I'll be at the helm for the week. Good to know you're just as responsible at work as you are elsewhere. Just try to get here in time for dinner.

Picked up plates, table ware, napkins, hot cups, and paper towels today. Packing tonight and leaving in the morning. Saturday all day will be spent with our son in Caldwell, IISthen it is back on the road Sunday. We will get there when we get there as we like to poke around.

Kent (KRP), Since you seem to be in charge of the edibles...
What can I bring to add to the pot-- Bacon, eggs, bread, chips, cokes??? Let me know something. Kent,
I can bring the goods that I already PM'd you about. In addition, I have commercial raw scrambled eggs in a bag. If you're doing anything that requires them, let me know.
They're great anything from scrambled eggs, to French toast, to breakfast casserole.
Also, as Paul has mentioned, maybe we need to get a list started so that we're not tripled up on some items, and short on others.
Let us know just as soon as you can. Also, if you need, I can carry a few extra things over for you. I'll be headed that way on Wednesday before the gathering.
Peggy is going to attend again this year also. Friday night will be pulled pork and fish, fried potatoes and coleslaw, chili by Joe, myself and whoever wants to make some. We could use buns. Breakfasts we could use meat and eggs, a couple loves of bread for french toast. if you are bringing some post here so we will know how many. Generally we can use flour tortillas, 4 dozen. Last year we used 14 dozen eggs and 15 lbs of meat, bacon, sausage and ham. Some hotdogs and buns. I'll be going up wed or thur and I doubt I'll check here again until then. Mostly I'll supply most of the food for dinners and anything we are short on. Thanks guys, Kent Kent i kind of waited to see how it would shape up. I will bring up some hot dog buns, eggs, and some sausage.

Packing the truck and headed to S. La., this afternoon, to pick up a friend, that is coming to Quemado. Will load his stuff tomorrow, make a trip to the grocery store and stock up, then leave early Sun. morning, from his place. If all goes according to plans, will be at the campsite sometime Tues. morning.

Just found out today that Alan wont be able to make the trip. Mike and I will be there as planned. unless something unexpected happens.
Thats too bad, I was hoping we could go on another 'shine fueled rescue mission to looking for a person thought be be stuck back in the forest.

Interesting to see you guys on the road already and arriving so early - well, it is a beautiful place. By now, the forest is looking good and the campground was empty today when the grandkids went through on a geo-caching adventure. So, enjoy, but don't wear yourselves out befor the rest of the raggedy troop arrives.
Kent - based on replies to date, what do you make for headcount? Are we ready to post the food/related "needs" list?
Always hoping that we have enough rope for tarps/covers, etc.. If someone brings a couple of hundred feet of light/strong rope it will be good insurance.
Looking forward to a great gathering.

me and my wife will be there... as far as rope, would clothes line work, or do we need something a hair stronger...
I'm sure we won't be dealing with the tornado type weather we had at Ed's place in Texas, where Miles and my pop up shelters were essential turned into pretzels....
Let me know what type of rope to pick up.....and if 200 to 250 feet will work....
I'm leaving Sunday Morning... two days down..

Hey guys - good stuff. The loads are not heavy - will just need a center line or two and need to tie down/out some tarp corners, etc. I'm thinking that the paracord, mule tape and clothesline you've mentioned should meet the needs quite well. Thanks much.
