Hello all. Just trying to get a what, where, when on this thing. I know it takes 28g of ff or fff and uses a .451" round ball. The zip bag says "R.E.M. #11." Which I'm assuming are the caps. Markings are shown. Proof stamps Cal .44 Nur Schwarzpulver Made in Italy

I had one. Mine was a non firing replica. It was sold by gander mountain if I recall, or sportsman's guide. Called the prospector model. 44 caliber.

So a sold in America pistol, made in Italy, with German lettering? I like it.
The powder flask Is something of dads. Apparently the tube measures you out 28g by capping it with your finger, inverting and working the lever.

Gotcha. I'm putting it on the table today with an 1863 springfield, and then with my sig 938 and AR with magnifier and EOTech. Gonna blast away with a mix of old and new.

FWIW, the charge weight called out on the barrel is pretty light.

Dad says he always used 28g so that's what I'm gonna go with until I get some more info.
Thanks for your comments so far.

Looks like a CVA Prospector to me. These were not cheap back in the '80's despite the finish.
