Shoud we do a Mashburn commemorative in Bobs name and auction for benefit? I'm no good at keeping track of anything but i'm sure it would make him smile if we built a nest egg for a slick rifle. Possibly a "gasp" 70?

If anyone is interested in organizing such a thing please holler.

Feel free to start something to sticky with any details..

W

Perhaps use this thread to toss out some ideas.

Bob's last post...why not make it a 270.

A .270 Win would be a great idea.

Definitely. Maybe a Pre64 Fwt in a Brown or Edge?

Should it be 270 or 7RM? Reading his signature line, thinking maybe a 7 Maggie.

If going synthetic, definitely a Brown stock.

To get things started, I will contribute a Pre-64 Model 70 action to the project.

Wow, a very kind move Whitebird. I have some spare pre 64 M70 parts, box, spring, extractor..if needed.
I think a lightweight .270 winchester would be great!

Wish I had more at the moment to contribute, but I have some of Bob's beloved Leupy DD's to throw in.

That's what I was going to post when I started reading this thread. The 7mm Mashburn is really Mark Dobrenski's passion... he turned Bob on to it.
