That's just terrible news. I always liked Bob. Lots of knowledge. I usually offer condolences to the family in threads like this, although today I kind of feel like I belong in the "grieving" group.

Gone but not forgotten. I'm sure we'll be re-reading his posts for years as new 'fire members dig up old threads on immortal topics.

Bob had a lot of friends here. It's alright to grieve during this great loss. Him and I used to text back and forth, plus thousands of PM's. I know I, and many here, lost a good friend today. He will be missed!

It was largely Bob's posts (and a couple other members') that inspired me to build a 7mm Mashburn. The way that Bob was posting here up until yesterday, I never would have guessed that his health was ailing.

RIP Bob. Like Allen Day, your contribution here was immense.

I read this yesterday and didn't know what to say, still don't really. I knew Bob a little bit, having met him a few years back. We seemed to run the gun shop/gun show loop around here and I'd run into him here and there. And like others, we had exchanged phone calls and texts over the years. He was always the man in person he appeared to be here at the fire. I'm going to miss our conversations and reading your posts Bob. RIP friend.

Always enjoyed reading his posts, he was a bright spot in a lot of the nonsense on here. May the good Lord bless and keep him and give comfort to his family.

Yes indeed. I never met Bob, but always enjoyed his posts and exchanged PM's with him a time or two. I have never seen any pics of him until now-thank you, everyone that posted photos!
