Really sorry to hear this. I am afraid that with a lot of us getting older, it will happen more on this site. miles

Relatively young guy.

Sad news, indeed.

May he rest in peace. My condolences and prayers to his family.

This is horrible news.

RIP Bob. You were one of the good guys on here. Your firearms and hunting knowledge will surely be missed.

Even though I never met you...You were friends of my friends, which means you're a good man.

Prayers for your family, sir.

Tom

Bob was a valuable member of the fire; a super nice guy.

My condolences to his family and close friends.

Like Allen Day, he did a lot more hunting than most realize. His practical knowledge and field experience, like Allen's, will be a tough act to follow.

With the info that g5m gave, I found this:
http://www.currentobituary.com/obit/203734

Edited to add: pretty interesting and talented guy. Played the accordion professionally, was a talented athlete, an attorney, and "a frequent and regular contributor to an outdoor sportsman’s blog" as well as a family man.

I'm gonna miss Bob, like many on here we spent a lot of time on pm's back and forth about guns (270 winchester's and pre 64's) with Bsa1917. He was genuine good guy and a very knowledgeable fella. My condolences to the family and all his friends. RIP Bob

JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H
