Brady has a couple of damned good receivers, maybe 4. IF, IF Atlanta would have stayed in his face the second half it would have been a blow out. don't know what they told the o-line for Patriots at half time, but it worked.
Eadelman was insane, and Amendola was right there with him.
Hell of an effort by many talented players.
Sycamore That's something I always think about when folks rave about this or that quarterback, like they're solely responsible for any win or loss. No digs on any QB but as near as I can tell there are always 10 other men on that field and I don't think they're there just because they got really good tickets to watch the QB play. The best QB in the world would get smeared without a good line to keep the defense off of him, and without people to catch and carry the ball the QB's just out there masturbating with a pigskin. I don't have a dog in this fight, didn't watch the game. Congrats to Brady, he is truly a great quarterback and a good quarterback is indispensable, but even more congratulations to the entire New England team since it was the team that won, not Brady all by his lonesome.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Awesome game! Loved the outcome. But damn. After the Julio Jones catch? Run. Run. Run. Kick easy field goal. Game pretty much over. Not sure what Falcons were thinking there. They had the game won.
Nailed it Eight point lead, inside the pats 30 with less than three minutes left and you pass, stop the clock, and get pushed out of FG range. Falcons blew it

That game just furthers my unexplainable hatred for Brady and Belichick. 2 of the greatest but can't really stand either one of them... I don't think I'm alone on my feelings...

Best line I've seen: "But the Falcons won the popular vote!"

Also left behind in the dust and the road apples with "defense wins games" is "you have to establish the run before you can pass".

Also left behind in the dust and the road apples with "defense wins games" is "you have to establish the run before you can pass". Defense does win championships. When ATL was playing D, the way it should be played, they had NE on their heels. Switch to a soft, "prevent defense", and then stay in it while your offense does nothing and your D is getting worn out and picked apart, well that's just stupid.

I will never understand why the Falcons didn't run the ball when they were in FG range.

I was pulling for the Pats. I recall when there was a couple touchdown deficit saying out loud that I just hoped the Falcons would pull back into a prevent defense. They did.

So is this the dynasty okok keeps talking about? But he just keeps picking the wrong team?

Statistics showed a VERY different game than the most important statistic (the scoreboard). At halftime we pulled up the stats and it showed a VERY different game. At the half Pats dominated every statistical category other than score, turnovers, rush yards. Aikman and Buck didn't get it. The 5 giggling analyst panel clowns didn't get it, but there was an undercurrent in the 1st half that many did not notice. Aikman and Buck were discussing the Atlanta offense's unusually low number of offensive plays as early as the second quarter and mentioned it on several other occasions.
