Another one of the good ones. So sad. Yep

Very sad news, RIP Dennis. I only knew him through his postings and our PM's but he seemed like a class act. If any of you folks have pictures to share please do.

I will pass along your condolences, I know Dennis enjoyed the campfire very much and was truly humbled with the response when the news of his illness traveled around the "fire". I know he would be humbled by this thread. CH

My brother Idared is on a Caribbean cruise, and will likely not see this notice for a week or more. He spent some time with Dennis when he was convalescing in the states, and also saw him in Alaska. They kept up communication, and Idared will be saddened by Dennis' passing.
Please give Dennis' family condolences from Larry and Joanne.

I will do that, I met your brother and sister in law when Dennis was in Seattle first getting his chemo and radiation. I stayed there with him until Faith could manage to get there for another six weeks. Your brother was a life saver and gave us a ride to a Target store to get much needed supplies. Tell him I'm still grateful to him for the help. CH

Our own muledeer, Dennis Neill, passed away yesterday after a long battle with brain cancer. I'm sure he will be missed by many. He survived an illness that usually takes it victims with 13 months. He managed many years and many hunts in Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, Colorado, and Texas after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. I'll miss my friend Dennis aka muledeer and I know many of you here knew him and interacted with him over the years. Gary, count me as another who will miss someone who was definitely a friend worth having. I have dreaded thinking of the day this would come but now that it has, I will choose to remember days such as this one in September 2013 on his front porch. I will always value times such as this. My condolences to Faith and all the rest of Dennis's family.

I just read this and am profoundly saddened by the news...

Didn't know the man other than through his writings/musing mostly here on the campfire. Seemed like a damned good guy. My condolences to all concerned. As an aside I hate the Big C... from personal experience.

While I knew this post would eventually appear, it doesn't make it any easier. Rest easy, my friend, you will be missed. A true pleasure to have spent time in your company. My thoughts go out to Faith, and family.
