I bought a 12 bore barrel blank that I had planned to have turned and fitted to the barrel for a slug gun. However I was offered +/- twice what I paid for it. So, I figure it's hard to lose by making a profit and it followed another home! ya! GWB

This is a very recent "the price is right" rifle purchase. I don't run into rifles of this age in our area very often but couldn't pass this one up. It is a Remington 722 in 300 Savage. The scope is a Weaver K 2.5 that was taken off of something so long ago that I don't remember what or why. It boresighted with no problems. I'm going to shoot it shortly and hope that long forgotten problems don't come back to haunt me.

I just shot my Remington 722 in 300 Savage that I posted a photo of earlier. With factory Remington 150 grain it shot a group that measured 1.1 inches. For a rifle that is old enough to be a classic, even if it is too ugly to actually be one, it sure shoots good.

Being young and bullet proof at the time, I handloaded a 150 grain bullet with the then max load of 44 grains of IMR-4064. Never gave any problems, brass lasted forever, and was very accurate. Should have kept it!
