Thanks for all the comments. The knife without the guard is a lot easier to make than the style with the separate guard. I don't own a milling machine, so I use a half round file to file the radius in the bottom of the guard. Brass goes relatively quick, nickel silver takes forever. I don't believe I've ever gone to a knife maker's website and seen such a high percentage of knife styles that I really like. Just knife after knife...

Resurrecting this post to give a shout out to Lee. Not sure if he's still around but I used one of his knives for the first time this year. I bought it here on the 'fire and it was shaving sharp when delivered. I field dressed 6-7 deer this year and it's still shaving sharp. I did a touch up on a leather strop after the first deer which turned out to be unnecessary. Great knife and an instant favorite...
