Reading Steve's prefences before, I'm guessing BT or Interlock.

Actually, that was years and years ago; it seems like a lifetime away. Some of us were sent unnamed Nosler bullets to shoot; .308" 150-grainers with black plastic tips. We were to test them on critters and report the results.

The first deer I shot was a nice 4X4 blacktail buck. I shot it in the middle neck and the head FLEW OFF!!!! Actually, it was pretty cool and I've often wished I had a video of the event. (Steve is a sick-o bugger blush)

This was a doe I shot in the end of the nose with that horribly frangible bullet. Hey, I saved literally all of the meat and got an instant kill. blush

Keep them coming.

We just had baby #3, so the hunting budget took another hit. I haven't been out west in 3 years now, just whitetails around home, but y'all pictures and stories keep me dreaming until the next big adventure. Hopefully it'll be antelope this fall, or next.

JD--I hate to be the Greek messenger but, with three kids, your budget hits have merely just begun.

Speaking of warped, here is my one and only hockey stick coyote. That's right, I killed the bugger with a hockey stick; the slap shot is unbelieveable.

Yeah, I know. But there is an upside - Mama doesn't have a problem telling me no, but she can't tell the boys no. She's putty in their hands. The 4 year old is infected with the hunting bug every bit as bad as me and I suspect the new born will be as well. She and my daughter have already decided they're going to the beach when me and the boys are off killing stuff. It ain't going to be a cheap ride, that's for sure.
