Tim, I have a ? if you don't mind. What's the name of that stock finish ? It's one of my FAVs. Jerry It's a McMillan "Coyote Bomber". 50% Dark Grey, 25% Med Tan, 25% Black.

The one rifle that accompanies me on ever hunting trip, regardless of what rifle I will be hunting with, is a 30-06 Remington Springfield 1903A3. It likes about any 30 caliber bullet from 110 gr to 220 gr, so it's easy to feed. If it should ever go away, I have another that can take it's place.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost....

My style of deer hunting is walk & stalk slowly through stands of hardwoods within the steep country of central Pennsylvania. My rifle? A Glenfield 30-30 featuring 18 inch barrel and 2-7X Simmons scope. 30-30 is a keeper!
Sherwood Now that's what I'm talking about! A real classic with the rare 18" barrel! Sounds like the perfect pig flushing rifle...with a smaller scope of course. Maybe a V3.

Short of the couple I own that I have never shot, the rest are more than good to go.

Huntsman, I think I'd keep that rifle if I were you. There's some good juju with it.

Weatherby Mk V Carbine in 7mm-08, never fails me. The other for sentimental reasons is a 1981 Marlin 336 in 30-30. My first rifle given to me by my Dad, shot my first deer and more accurate than a 30-30 lever action should be

Was my Ruger M77 Tanger in 30-06 and still is in some respects but now is a Remington 700 XCR ii in 270win with an Edge classic wearing a VX3 3.5-10x40. Shoots great , handles great, is durable and is the right weight for my current purposes. Likely my future purposes as well.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.

My Remington 700 TI in .308 with a Leupold 2.5x8 with an M1 turret. It won’t shoot any load over an inch EVERYTHING I’ve ever shot through it shoots mostly 1/2-3/4 inch groups. Love that rifle, wouldn’t hesitate to use it on anything.
