no pix, but I left work last night to falling rain that immediately turned to ice when it hit, the street, cars or power lines. Sometime during the night, it turned to snow and we got about 4-6 inches. We also lost power for about 8 hours, my guess is either iced limbs dropped power lines or just the weight of hanging ice did the same. Driving to work was a hoot as the state hadn't plowed at all.


Winter here is like a woman with makeup and a girdle, it covers lots of flaws and makes it beautiful, but can be a bitch to live and deal with. That's what winter looks like where I live.


I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

Not so bad here. Hit 31 today...Only 6 inches of snow. Got to fire up the snowblower for the first time in 11 months..

We have had cold weather, but this week it is to hit 50.. 41 today, then the bottom drops out for a while.. No snow here.. So NO ELK!
