Thanks, it a sweet little rifle. Although it can't compare to some of the ones you have posted.

Pre FW 64 7x57 custom Very nice. However it doesn't have the fwt profile barrel. I wouldn't consider it a fwt. Nice little 7x57 though. Congrats.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Yeah, it does not have the exact Featherweight contour barrel, but I think the contour on that cystom is actually more gracefull looking than the factory Winchester FWT contour which to me has all the grace of a stove bolt..:) It must be a pretty light barrel because an early '60s FWT 39-06 I recently sold weight 7 lbs on the nose with a 32oz stock.. That 7x57 has a smaller hole in the barrel and I would bet that stock with cheekpeice is a few ounces heavier than factory as well. . So at 7.4lbs in deed rather than looks, I would say that 7x57 really does have a "featherweight" barrel..It's probably a No 1 contour. Nicely done rifle BTW, who did the stockwork?

That is a heck of a nice rifle! I've been thinking about doing a project just like that, I love the .220 Swift. I have a 1955 .M70 220 Swift in excellent condition bought new by my dad when he was a teen. I love shooting it, and would like to use it more, but it's a safe queen and always will be. I need one I can take out and not worry about dinging it up... as much!

I “rescued” a ‘55 vintage Fwt in 30-06 from Cabelas this morning. Even came with a cool vintage Balvar scope! I believe the stocks been refinnished but the metal is pretty nice. I thought it was a good buy at less than 7 bills.
