Nice, I called about that one, too late obviously!

Any idea what it weighs?

Thanks, it a sweet little rifle. Although it can't compare to some of the ones you have posted.

Very nice. However it doesn't have the fwt profile barrel. I wouldn't consider it a fwt. Nice little 7x57 though. Congrats.

Yeah, it does not have the exact Featherweight contour barrel, but I think the contour on that cystom is actually more gracefull looking than the factory Winchester FWT contour which to me has all the grace of a stove bolt..:)

It must be a pretty light barrel because an early '60s FWT 39-06 I recently sold weight 7 lbs on the nose with a 32oz stock..

That 7x57 has a smaller hole in the barrel and I would bet that stock with cheekpeice is a few ounces heavier than factory as well.
.
So at 7.4lbs in deed rather than looks, I would say that 7x57 really does have a "featherweight" barrel..It's probably a No 1 contour.

Nicely done rifle BTW, who did the stockwork?

I was told the stock was by George Beitzinger, and the barrel a Pac Nor #1

Awhile back I picked up a worn out 220 Swift for 500.00 bucks. It had good wood and a shot out barrel, throat was so gone brass would flow into the throat when firing.

Thought about it awhile and turned it over to a local gunsmith to be reworked. had a Sendero profile Shilen barrel in 220 Swift put on, trigger worked, glass and pillar bedded, all metal Ceracoated and the stock refinished. Still working up some loads for it but it is a shooter, will put 3 shots through the same hole at 100 yards.

That is a heck of a nice rifle! I've been thinking about doing a project just like that, I love the .220 Swift. I have a 1955 .M70 220 Swift in excellent condition bought new by my dad when he was a teen. I love shooting it, and would like to use it more, but it's a safe queen and always will be. I need one I can take out and not worry about dinging it up... as much!

I “rescued” a ‘55 vintage Fwt in 30-06 from Cabelas this morning. Even came with a cool vintage Balvar scope! I believe the stocks been refinnished but the metal is pretty nice. I thought it was a good buy at less than 7 bills.
