Made it to the selection screen. Hit confirm, and now watching the wheel of death.

I was at a retail store and they entered my first choice right at 9....took until about 9:05 for them to get the message that tag was gone. Did get my second choice about 5 minutes later. Simultaneously, I was on a laptop and trying to buy a tag at 9....was on DPW site, logged in and when trying to open the "elk" link got a message that network was down. Wheel was still spinning when I left the store with three tags they processed around 9:30.

At a regional caucus last week (SE region) and asked why they moved online sales back to same time as on-site and retail the manager said he had been assured that the computer system would be up to the challenge this year (he didn't personally seem convinced). He didn't explain why they moved the date back. Anyway, it obviously still needs work, but at least on the retail side it was a bit better in that their system seemed to be working, if slow. Last two years the retail side didn't work either.

Wonder how many guys put a fist through their computers this morning as the goatfluck continues.

Just donated $46 to Parks & wildlife for a leftover 2nd Rifle cow tag in unit where cows are unlikely to be unless the weather turns really bad.

Hoping to make good with my RFW cow tag though.

It was a pain for the first 35 mins then I got in and got a B cow elk tag for muzzle loader and got my son a rifle cow tag so I say it was a win at the end. Get to go bow hunting and muzzle loading and guide my son on the last rifle season. Going to be a great year.

Usual chitchoe for the first 40 minutes or so. Buddy did not get his leftover deer tag but I got my late season private land cow tag. I drew a 2nd rifle deer tag in the main draw and can buy the bull tag OTC. I’ll get a bull tag after I get a scouting report just before the opener for 2nd or 3rd rifle season. Happy Trails

I get to work at 6:00a and I had no problems getting thru the system to get my eastern plains deer tag.

Using the website anytime after 8:00a is always a crap shoot!
