A couple from our latest North Central Nebraska hunt. Now those two are too pretty to post without more information! Oops. Top is a 1937 Savage 99 EG with a 16.25" bbl. It has a Leupold M8 4x on it. It's my youngest son's rifle. The bottom is a Savage 1920 born in 1920 with a Lyman 54 on it. Nice light rifle to walk the hills with.

No posts in this Arizona wilderness area, but I did fine this tree at about 9800' elk hunting last week.
Too close for irons, switching to scope...

The fencepost that started the thread over 7 years ago From today, a Barrett Fieldcraft 270 Win cut at 23" How does the Fieldcraft compare to your Model 70s and Montanas? Okie John
If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

This TC Hawken in 45 caliber is very accurate and deadly. The Lyman rear sight is especially helpful. Sherwood
