I'll bite. How does this clean oil filters? It doesn't. It adapts to fit a variety of oil filters which can be attached to the muzzle of the rifle ostensibly to catch solvent used to clean the bore. T.S.

BATFE might show up at your doorstep one day. I would be scared to get caught with one of those. Though I am guessing they are legal for the cleaning purpose.

BATFE might show up at your doorstep one day. I would be scared to get caught with one of those. Though I am guessing they are legal for the cleaning purpose. It's not illegal to possess them it's illegal to use them for that purpose, that's why it's been advertised cleaning adapter

At the last gun show I went to a guy had these set up with oil filters and fuel filters. A couple threaded flashlights too.
He had the washers and spacers that go in the filter as well. I expect the solvent would just come out the other end since there was a hole through the whole contraption. Lol.
It was just a demo on gun cleaning accessories.

Like most tools, if used for its stated purpose, it is legal. A pipe wrench used to bludgeon another human is quickly transformed from a legal tool to a deadly weapon.
I'm not sure if this is still the case but, a similar device used to be on the market that was intended to be used to attach an oil filter as a suppressor. The difference was the device had a serial number allowing it to be registered with BATF. The negative on that arrangement is the circumference of most filters interferes with use of the weapon's sights.

Yeah, based on the recent bumpstock ban, I'd hate to buy one of these and discover that some day I had become a felon.
