This one started as a FN Imperial grade Mauser my father in law bought a couple of months before I was born in '61 for the sum of $165. Chet Brown re-barreled it in the late 70's and I had his son Mark finish it off last year. Nice handling rig.
As a 61' baby, I can appreciate that. Beautiful photos. What's the barrel make and contour?

It's got a pretty slender build. At the muzzle it's only at .585 inch. When I got to talking to Mark Brown about it he said his Dad used different makes of barrels so we couldn't pin it down as to manufacturer. Here's what she looked like before the makeover. [/URL][/img]

Cooper Classic Schnabel 308 w/ 165ttsx I've only owned one Cooper with a Schnaebel fore-end. It's a diminutive model 38 chambered for the 22 Hornet. Would love to see more pix of your rifle. Model 52? ya! GWB

That ones a Pre'64 Model 70 action Hart barrel- 22" Featherweight Contour at the reciever and 0.600 muzzle for a little forward weight. Chambered in .280 Remington - 9 twist McMillan Featherweight pattern stock Leup 3.5-10 CDS Naked gun is right at 7 lbs With scope and Talley LW's 8.0 lbs even
