Kind of miss them. Both dead and missed for their knowledge of classic American rifles. Mr. Petrov wrote 2 great books on the Classical American gunmakers which are reliable reference material. Contacted him once about a Bob Owen Springfield and he responded quickly with a very interesting evaluation. A real loss to the shooting world.

Keith, eh76, who has taken 2 Booner antelope at over 700 yds, gave up on here due to the knowitalls on here quite a while back when he got tired of their bs flack about his knowledge about long range shooting, iirc, from what he told me.

That's crazy. Out of all the random people on the "internets," Keith is someone I knew from this podunk town we both lived in when I was in high school. We frequently ran into each other at the local gun ranges (the school district had an indoor 25-yard range and the county had a pretty damned nice set of outdoor ranges, believe it or not). He was always a nice guy, an engaging guy, and knowledgeable about his abilities. He never tried to impose his will on anyone, he was just a guy who was happy doing his thing. So it's disappointing that anyone would harangue him to the point of leaving.
