Hey guys,
I recently got a
Victorinox 10" breaking knife for processing my deer at home
This is the knife
Link
Any recommendations sheaths/blade covers to protect it? We keep our kitchen knifes (some better than others) in a drawer box. So also open to better suggestions on how to store protect better knives as I purchase them.

Thanks a lot

I'm guilty of folding a piece of cardboard and then wrapping it with duck tape. The exposed adhesive, opposite the bend grabs the spine of the blade.

A 10" blade is mighty long for processing deer. I like a 5" blade. But it's all a matter of choice, good luck with the new blade.

That is how I store most of my knives. Protected and safe.

Thanks for the tips.
The 10" is going to be used along smaller knifes too, but the curved tip helps.

Use one of those wall mounted magnetic strips for our utility knives. Handily holds about 10 knives just over our kitchen counter and out of reach of kids.

A scrap piece of 3/4" x 2-1/2" x 12" hardwood. A deep narrow kerf slot cut in the middle of the 3/4" side is what I use. It was a slight upgrade to the cardboard and duct tape model (that was mention above) I had used previously.
