What kind/brand of glue should I use to glue two pieces of canvas together. Need to repair a hunting blind that has a rip in it. I plan to lay a patch much larger than the 8” rip over the rip. Thanks

E6000. I did a boat tarp that separated on every seam. Better after the glue than before.

Is this just like an Ameristep pop-up blind or similar?

E6000 is good.
Barge cement WITH TOLUENE is the gold standard.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Exterior latex paint. Apply paint to the patch and ripped area, let it tack up then apply the patch. Paint over it to seal

If you rather not go the thread/ needle route, there's lots of options IMHO. Anything from Eclectic Products will work in weather. The chemist tells me that for exterior use, go with the Marine Goop since it has a UV protectant added. If it's available in your store, I'd go with that since it's only going to be .50 cents difference in price. Also, Any of the rubberized caulking tubes will work very well and has UV additive. There will be plenty left over for gutter seams or household repairs too.

I would recommend that you use S-18. Its the best adhesive/contact cement I've used for canvas. I had an old Boy Scout wall tent that had several holes and rips, which was easily repaired with S-18: Before repair - cleaned with paint thinner: After repair:

Most every small town hardware store had a canvas repair shop.
These premises insured by a Sheltie in Training ,--- and Cooey.o "May the Good Lord take a likin' to you"

Tear Mender brand adhesive works well on cotton canvas or any material that is porous.

Duct tape has always worked for me. Tends to dry out after 10 years or so, though.
