The problem the US truckers have, in reality, is that most of them are armed. In almost every other country mass protests can occur, peacefully, without realistic fear of violence, as that would turn the tide of public opinion against the government.

Here, in the US, the government has NO fear of using violence against protesters that don’t follow the government playbook. Even small town police departments are loaded with military hardware and enough brown shirts itching to use it. Moreover, the left in this country has been indoctrinated and conditioned that ANY non-socialist or communist protest is “insurrection”, giving the pols not only the tools but the political cover to shoot up any protest.

Sorry I just dont buy that. You are literally saying your right to bear arms and the 2a makes it too dangerous to protest.

Whats the point of even having the mighty US constitution if thats the case?I think you need to rethink your thinking on that one..

Also not sure if you have been keeping up with current events but a lot of other nations cops are getting pretty darn brutal. Not to mention a protester catches a trumped up terrorism charge with no jury trial and hard time..that IS the same as losing everything.

Well fellows, Canadian friends and neighbors. Why not have a Constitutional convention and add a bill of rights to your Constitution, including a Second Amendment.

One of my coworkers was telling me yesterday….he said, get stocked up by next month. He said a trucker strike or convoy was starting in California and headed east.

I said I never heard about it. Anyone know about that?

Most the world still waiting for a response from US truckers. Europe has convoys converging on brussels from 20 something countries, even left wing Australia and NZ has truckers converging on their capitals. You guys have more trucks than most of us have people. That would be a hell of a sight.

From what I understand that is supposed to start March 1st, they are starting on Cali and making a run across to DC.

Should be fun to watch.

That's an expensive run for any trucker paying out of pocket - probably $1,500.00 - for diesel, one way. I wonder how many are willing and able to easily pay that - might limit participation.

I want to say it was you early on in this convoy discussion who suggested that more or less "most truckers and farmers have solved more problems by thinking outside the box before breakfast than the average politician will in a day"

Maybe it wasn't you, but I smiled and nodded reading it, because it's true.

I keep on saying we'll see and we will.

Sources seem to indicate there's at least 30 Ottawa Police who've resigned already, as did one Calgary Police Services officer this morning, posting a fantastic video explaining why when he did. It was powerful stuff.

Again thanks for the interest that you've all shown in this issue on our side of the medicine line, the support has been wonderful and the prayers appreciated.

All the best.

Dwayne

Dwayne,

I hope all is well with you and yours in your beautiful part of our country. A few videos for some to get the general feel of it all. As Canadians, we are a stubborn bunch and it is what got us through the founding of this country and what will see us through what remains for the life of this country. God Bless Us All.

Lynn

A taste of things so far. I have family members who are truckers, quite a few actually, and they are there, since the beginning and they are not moving, till something gives, one way or the other.

Progress, sort of...

We have American truckers here, and they have been here from the beginning, staunch supporters of rights and freedoms. We are grateful beyond words to all of the American truckers that have made so many sacrifices to be here and stand not beside us, BUT, WITH US, as a family of like-minded people, wanting only what is right and what is the best for our families and our fellow citizens and our neighbours in both directions.

Thank you America we never doubted you.

You have to remember that our prime minister is a drama teacher. Deputy pm Freeland has a master's degree in slavonic studies and had a career in journalism. Gerald Butts their main advisor has an MA in English Lit and was CEO of the World Wildlife Fund. I'm sure others could add to the backgrounds of the other members of his cast, but do you see something in common? They don't seem to have much contact with the working world. You know, the world that puts food on the table and products onto shelves.

Yeah, they poked the bear who controls the movement of everything in Canada. Everything.

It takes a village to raise an idiot.
