Back when I had a FFL license, I bought and sold Ruger Super Blackhawks until I got one to shoot accurately, I believe it was the 10th that was amazingly accurate. I shot 2" groups at 100 Yards with GC Cast bullets, 2 1/2" groups with plain cast.

My brother bought a Super Red Hawk about the same time. The barrel measured about halfway between 44 and 45. It shot pie plate accuracy at 25 yards.

All I am saying, "It could be your revolver."

I prefer classic.

Change bullet weight and see how things go.

I have a Super Blackhawk and cannot zero it at 50 yards. I have the rear sight bottomed out and it still shoots high. This is with handloaded 240gr XTP over 24.0gr of H110. Standard 44 magnum load I’ve been reloading for 25+ years.

If I drop down to 200gr XTP, then I can zero with the sights. I prefer the 240 over the 200, so I ended up putting a Burris Fastfire 3 on the handgun which allowed me to zero at 50 yards.

Something must have changed. The last SBH I owned was an old model, about 1975, and that one zeroed fine at 50 yards with then-available 240 grain factory loads and a locally cast 270 grain SWC that was probably the NEI 256.

That one had fake black pearls on it (I was 19 years old) so grippiness wasn't an issue.
