I suspect that ain’t that old guy’s first shooting event.
Who else would go through the pockets of a dead guy he just shot to recover small change.
I think he shot him because he was pi$$ed off and then was pi$$ed off all over again when the gun he might have taken turned out to be fake. PO’d too that he had just incurred legal hassles.
I’m wondering if he’s a foreign National.

Not sure if he hit the cash register,
But who’s actually carrying much cash anymore? Did you breast feed into your 20’s? 20’s? Hell with any luck at all I’ll be sucking on knockers tonight.

WTF. You can't kill a man in a taco joint and then just drive home without talking to the police.

That should happen every time. Yep and the news should thank the shooter and wish him the best rather than asking he come forward for a grand jury! Bingo!

Bring a fake gun to a robbery - win stupid prizes. Looks to me he won the perfect prize.

I was recommending a good Mexican restaurant to a visiting Police Detective from New Jersey. Told him even though it was on the West Side he shouldn’t worry. “I’m not worried” he said “I have a gun.” I can only guess that is a big deal where that guy works. LOL. Yep, like who doesn't. Reminds me of my uncle's visit back in the late 1960s, along with my aunt and my two cousins. He was a uniformed cop in Indiana, but back then it was still quite illegal for him to even be in possession of his revolver while in the state of NY, let alone having it loaded in his glove compartment, which he did. But as you enter NYC on the highway, and seek to find your way to Long Island, it can sometimes be confusing for the unitiated, and they ended up taking the wrong exit and ending up in the worst part of Harlem, trying to find the entrance ramp back onto the highway. They were all getting pretty nasty treatment from the locals as they were driving through.

No pretrial diversion, pardon, parole, or early release from the graveyard! He saved the taxpayers a pile of money on welfare payments and the costs to feed, clothe and warehouse a career criminal as well! The city should at least buy the guy a couple of boxes of good ammo!

I wonder how many blacks would be on that Grand Jury in Houston? They might crucify that old geezer shooter. All the more reason to lay low, and all the more reason for well intentioned cops not to make statements on TV about how he needs to come forth.

The reason they want him to go through the criminal justice system is to avoid setting a precedent for people doing likewise in the future. The government likes to maintain a monopoly on force, no matter how justified and lawful it was.

They must make clear that such signs of independence and self reliance are never free no matter how clearly legal; one must always bend the knee to the higher power of the state.
