100% good shoot. Waited until he could draw without being seen and smoked the bad guy.
Don’t bring a BB gun and no skills to a real gunfight.
A bleeding heart leftist might decide, however, that the extra shots while he was clearly down and incapacitated converted a good shoot into a murder because, who know, paramedics could have saved him before those last few shots, he could have been rehabilitated, gone to college, and cured cancer. But I think the shooter deserves the key to the city.
He should definitely not report to the police.
With the photos of him and his truck, he will be found, for sure. Lawyering up and getting ready for the coming legal and civil battles is what he needs to do, unfortunately. He needs a “go fund me” account for his legal fees.
The uselessness of having to actually "kill" a human being because they have little enough sense to threaten people with a fake gun? I'd be mad too! ....and then there is the stupidity of expecting to pull off an armed robbery with a fake gun.....IN TEXAS!!!???
I was born and raised within 150 miles of Houston. I've lived, worked and "played" in Houston. Houstonians "CARRY GUNS"!!!! License or not!!!
I won't wish death on anybody, but if anybody ever deserved it, he did!
Can remember seeing one of the Houston stations interview with an HPD officer, a couple years after the Luby shooting when the push for carry laws was heating up. Interview, surprisingly, was conducted on the Loop 610 feeder road during rush hour and the reporter was asking the officer what he thought about letting the public legally carry concealed weapons. He pointed to the traffic and said " See all those cars? There's a pistol in every one of them."

thats the problem in this country .. democrats have given more rights to criminals than to law abiding citizens
"They must make clear that such signs of independence and self reliance are never free no matter how clearly legal; one must always bend the knee to the higher power of the state."
This has become the norm across the board. Authorities assume they have the right to restrict your actions, abuse their official powers for ideological ends, limit what you may do with your own property, even your own body. Sadly, many grown adults, not just children, accept this all as reasonable governance protecting society. ( The Social Contract.) Socialism stopped creeping long ago.
Pretty sure every homicide goes before a grand jury in TX, no matter the circumstances.
Looks good to me. Hopefully he is in the clear. I still recall the pharmacist in Oklahoma who got fugked when he killed an armed robber.
Yeah, me too. NOW......recall that the guy shot the first robber, chased after the second robber. Then returned, grabbed a second gun and shot the first robber again No. 1 - Neither you nor I were there to actually witness the event No. 2 - robber #1 was neutralized (I didn't say dead!), why swap firearms and shoot again No. 3 - was robber #1 surrendering when the pharmacist plugged him again?
Lotta she-eye-tee going on there that can't be determined by that video. Was he right or wrong? I dunno....and I won't presume to say who got shagged the hardest!
IIRC the fact that the pharmacist changed guns is where the court says he crossed the line between "self defense" and "murder". Again, "I dunno?".
I have a few takeaways. First, the female reporter stated the police want to talk to a man who shot "a robbery suspect". Maybe it's a distinction without a difference; but, as the video is pretty clear she should have said "a man who shot an armed robber". Second, I'm surprised how clear this video is. Based on the appearance of the man who shot the bad guy, the appearance of his friend and the "uniqueness" of his truck, he will not be difficult to locate. Third, based on his reaction to learning the deceased had been using a fake/toy gun, said reaction will only bolster his position with respect to his own actions. He was legitimately upset. By the way, the gun being fake has no bearing on the fate of the man who shot the bad guy. Fourth, with respect to the deceased and those who choose to pursue such a career, life would be better, more fulfilling and less deadly if one were to simply get a job.

Hopefully, it doesn't go to a grand jury, because grand juries tend to grant true bills whenever the prosecutor wants one. It's not an adversarial situation where the defendant's point of view is particularly represented.

Bad deal for sure. I don’t know who the pharmacist’s defense attorney was, but I’d sure as schit not hire him even for a speeding ticket.

As soon as the Houston news media sets up an interview with the negro fambly who will cry their eyes out on cue, that man's fate will be sealed in Harris County.

Store owner should have done that guy a solid and deleted the video and then just gave a statement that the old guy defended himself and the patrons. A DA is gonna be all over this one once the public cries.
