Very nice 338-06 elk rifle built on a pristine VZ-24 action.
*#3 Benchmark barrel chambered by Benchmark
* VZ-24 action polished and lapped bolt lugs. Talley bolt handle tigged by Dan in Alaska. Low scope safety installed by Gentry
* FN Mauser bottom metal
* Timney trigger at 3#
* Bushnell 3x9 Elite scope with Talley rings and bases.
*Rimrock/Borden stock bedded and painted by Dave Gentry
*Redding dies, a bunch of 338-06 formed brass, new boxes of 225 Hornady and 215 Sierra bullets
Rifle shows a little hunting use but is in excellent condition. Shoots everything I tried very well. 210 Nosler or the 215 Sierra at 3/4". I will include by load notes
Weight is about 8# as shown.

you cannot build this rifle even close to the selling price. great value if you are looking for a nice elk cartridge. Clean VZ24 actions are bringing nearly $500, and the stock and barrel work incl bluing is $1000. Timney $100, dies and brass and bullets $150? Talley setup $100. Commercial bottom metal too. Good luck with the sale.

Actually designed by Al Biesen. Jim Cloward built the first molds off of his design and they were built on Vashon Island by Pacific Research Labs.
I agree about being the best.

Thanks. I did not know Al had a hand in the design. I know Cloward used a lot of them for his customs.
