6000+ guns per year out of MSP is far fetched as with rough estimating of just 6000 guns would work out to be about 115 guns per week or close to 16 guns per day. That is a pretty unrealistic number to believe, even for the MSM

From all credible (and uncredible) sources, fewer than 60 guns were found by TSA at MSP airport in 2022. That would be a little over one per week.

I believe that the nationwide total was a bit over 6500 guns for 2022. That would be more believable considering the millions of people who fly every year. This also begs the question whether this number is for just those flights originating in the US or if it includes those firearms found coming into the country from elsewhere.

Saw a pic of what they purported to have taken from the guy. A short barrel AR with a brace attached, six mags, 163 rds. of ammo, and… a collapsible stock. ATF will likely be talking to the fella, explaining the concept of intent to manufacture, and he best be real careful how he responds to that. A stock in the case with the short barrel brace equipped gun is not an easy thing to explain away…

Pre-TSA my wife’s friend was flying somewhere and went through security without issue. Later during her flight she went into her purse for something and realized that she had forgot to remove her 357 from her purse. She was careful not to let that cat out of the bag and kept that info to herself. 😀

They caught a guy here in Commyfornia years ago with all kinds of firearms in his bags. Full Autos , Short Barrel Rifles he had the works along with all the ammo a guy could want for a small war
it was quieted up real fast but not fast enough that it got out that he and his team were Gooberment Contractors heading across the country for a job.

They made a real big deal about it on the Lame Stream media and then Dropped it like a hot potato to try and hide what was actually going on.

That guy sued the TSA and I do not know what came of it. It was all hush hush.

your #'s were a little off.
So far in 2023, TSA officers have stopped nine firearms at MSP Airport. In 2022, 58 guns were stopped. In January, the TSA announced that last year officers confiscated a record number of firearms at airport checkpoints. In total, 6,542 guns were recovered, 570 more than the previous record from 2021.

Seems a little convenient, considering the ATF is right now pushing to make owners of that particular weapon felons unless they register them with them.

It's stupid that there should even be a problem with ammo. What are you going to do with it when there's no gun - point it and hold a match to the primer?

Flick the Primer with your Fingernail we all know that's how you can fire a cartridge and you hold your hand around it casing making the barrel.
With that heavy round that should be good and accurate for around 1000 yards at 5000 ft per second.

Traveled a lot competing around the country in shooting tournaments. A buddy traveling with me sent his shooting bag through the security checkpoint for carry-ons. They stopped and pulled his choke tubes out and asked what they were. Told them what they were.

They freaked out that they “were part of a gun” and had him take them back to the counter to be put in his luggage 😂😂😂😂😂. When we arrived at the hotel, his carry on shooting bag had 23 loose 12 gauge shells that they let him put on the plane 😂😂😂

Had a girlfriend who was a top shooter. She flew out for a week of practice. Checked her carry-on and her shooting bag when she got to my house and it had 2 boxes of 12 gauge ammo in it that they allowed on the plane

Checked my shooting bag to go to a tournament. At the gate they paged me. Guy said we are going through your bag and found an eye dropped marked “top secret”. “What is in this?”

A friend mixed up some transmission fluid and ProLong as a lube for my Auto and I told them it was oil.

They threw it away saying it had to be in an original container
