That's rimmed. It would be the 444 Buckhammer. smile

Or for a really new cartridge the .429 Somethingorother

Selfish hope is for some .400 round nose or semi-spitzer bullets 200 to 225 gr short enough to use in .50 cal muzzleloader with sufficient twist. Bonded would be good.

Every Walmart in Connecticut has 350 Legend ammo. Connecticut doesn’t allow rifles with center fire ammo on state land, slugs only. Anything from .243 caliber on up is allowed on private property.

Ooh.

The demand to reintroduce the 401 SL has been filled, just like the 351!

Until we have a 6.5 legend, there is no legend.

An AR15 loaded up with twenty .40cal 220gr hard cast bullets moving north of 2100fps would make a dandy hog/bear thumper.

I’m sure it will kill deer. I don't have any problem with hunters in straightwall states having a few options in a bolt gun. I killed a few deer last year with my 350 legend while in Ohio. Killed them dead as Elvis. I wont be buying a 400 anytime soon. I will stick with my 350 because I have it. I waited a long time to be able to hunt in Ohio with a low recoil scoped bolt gun and not have to use a buffalo gun for deer.
I will continue to use my 270 and 7mm08 in Alabama and any where else those are legal.

I’d rather have the 400 than the other two. It’s just a personal preference.

Is it just me, or are we bringing back the engine call signs from the 60s?

Chevy 350 & 400 (Legend)
Dodge 360 (Buckhammer)

Which one will come back next, the Ford 429 or Dodge 440?

The 350 Legend would be interesting with 250gr Hornady Sub-X bullets, since I already have a suitable suppressor. A 400 Legend, with heavy cast bullets, might make for an interesting AR thumper round.

I want to build an AR upper for the 400 Legend but here we are roughly 6 months after introduction and no parts, no dies, no brass, no barrels, no guns. I think Winchester and other mfgs may have let this one die on the vine!! No commitment!!

Who ever came up with the first "Legend" cartridge should be committed.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Little invention of mine...

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
