Tell that to the damned turkey in the oven... It was 116F about an hour ago. Haven't looked at the thermometer since. I'm with Neal, I'll believe the mid-80's with a chance of rain when I see it. Ed

Ran errands today and saw 104 in the truck. Odd hunting mule deer where I could wear shorts and a tank top.

60’s here in West MI. Might have touched 70 today. Expect 40’s tonight. Pretty much perfect fall weather. A little cooler would be even better.

I was wondering when you were headed back south Ed. Let me know if you stumble onto a Stroh base.

There's something to the heat shock protein upregulation. I'm in mid summer form from running and rucking during 110 real feel and now mid 90's without effort means no sweat. Makes football tailgating all day pleasurable. Interesting. Where would a fella look to get more info? I'm in the profuse sweat zone now.......

The good thing about the excessive heat is it will whittle away cankles. HINT

Ran errands today and saw 104 in the truck. Odd hunting mule deer where I could wear shorts and a tank top. Hard to imagine such apparel for a mule deer hunt. Out this way, the general deer seasons ordinarily do not start until some time in October and the weather is mostly glorious. Cool/crisp mornings, lots of sun but mild temps through the day, and evenings like the mornings. Low desert a bit warmer, high altitude a good bit cooler. This AM went out to do some work at 5:30 as sun was breaking through and 62 degrees - nice breeze made it pleasant working all morning until about 11, and by then the cooker was working. Almost 100 when went in for dinner, and the AC felt good. Now about 5:30 and am headed out for more work - will be very nice again.

83 degrees is better than 101 just a few weeks ago . We had several hundred doves in the field every evening until this cool weather pushed them south .

The silver lining is it's going to be under 80 for the KS season opener. Most years the temps opening week are in the 90s, tickling 100. The 11th start.
