I'm not going to be hunting any more after today. My sweet little Griffon Rosie died chukar hunting today. She vanished yesterday, probably went after birds. Owen and I looked for her into the night. We went back today to look for her some more. We and another hunter heard her crying and barking and went to find her. It appears she went off a cliff and fell into a gigantic boulder field on a very steep mountain face. We couldn't get to her, and my wife and I listened to her cries, until there were no more. I almost lost my Labrador that same way up on a trail above Multnomah Falls. It was pure luck to be in the right spot to be able to grab him by the tail.
