If you think that's really old, then you're probably young. Windows XP came out in 2001. That's only 22 years ago. Now if you've used CPM and remember when IBM PCs booted into Basic from ROM, then you may be old.

My girlfriend gave me a box of 1000 blank cards. Unbeknownst to me, she slipped a punched card in the middle of the stack. I was working in the computer lab late one night and decided to wrap things up and go home. I hit the CLEAR button on the machine and out came a blank card, a blank card, then one that said "I LOVE YOU". I decided that I was spending way too much time in the computer lab. User friendly is one thing, but.....
