I keep hearing Trump hasn't been convicted of insurrection, on here and on news outlets. Convicted? Show me where he's even been charged? He never will be convicted because he's never been charged. Not a single charge of insurrection in all the frivolous desperate lawsuits against him.

Even Jack Smith's case which specifically involves J6. No charge or indictment for insurrection. Jack Smith would add unpaid parking tickets to the list of indictments if he thought it would stick. So why no insurrection charges?????

We've never stopped hearing about it since J6 and they're still pushing it. Where's the charges?

He has been indicted by the court of public opinion.

It was Republicans that initiated this lawsuit.

Does CO have Mail-In ballots and Dominion electronic voting?

What’s the chance of the SC going 9-0 in support of Trump?

Perhaps backchannels will alert Robert’s that his name is definitely on the flight manifest for the Lolita Express. Reckon that carries any sway w the Chief Justice? It might not be released before Trump’s deadline, but he’ll hopefully have hell to pay even if only rumored to be on it. Lots of smoke re illegal adoptions of his children.

The odds are high they will do exactly that, per at least one legal scholar...

Frei is definitely worth watching.

Essentially it's a nothing burger which sounds like it destroys Trump.

That rumor has been told for several years, ever since he change the wording of Obama Care legislation in order to justify it constitutional .

I can't answer that, I live in Missouri. Most likely they do since they are governed by leftist.

Quite good, but it has nothing to do with supporting Trump.

That’s in 2 weeks, doubtful it will happen that quickly, especially since Roberts is compromised.

Trump can file in less than two weeks, if he does Colorado's own opinion continues their self imposed stay, and he is on the ballot.... the SCOTUS does not have to actually hear the appeal for Colo's stay to continue......

Can we file a class action lawsuit against Colorado. This is a federal election, which affects all of us. They are denying the electoral votes in a close election.

This is a serious question.

Why would a state kick Trump off the ballot? I thought Dominion voting machines have it all covered??

We're in uncharted legal territory and it's hard to to say what kind of decision the SC will make. Both sides seem to think this will be a slam dunk, some folks on one side or the other will be eating crow when a decision does come down. Keep in mind that the lower court in Colorado did adjudicate the facts in this case and said that Trump did aid in an insurrection on January 6th. Legal findings of fact that have been adjudicated are very hard to challenge on appeal.

The plain language of the Constitution does spell out some basic requirements for holding office, some of those are.
1. For President, a candidate must be a least 35 years of age
2. For President, a candidate must be a natural born citizen. (Remember the fuss about BO's birth certificate, that was a serious effort to get him disqualified from holding office.)
3. In general, office holders must not have engaged or given aid or comfort to rebellion, or insurrection against the United States. (This is a disqualification clause in the 14th Amendment.)

How will the originalists on the SC view the adjudicated facts in this case along with the plain language of the Constitution? This comes down to the lower court's adjudicated facts vs. no charges or conviction for insurrection, it's an interesting unprecedented case. How will this get decided, you're guess is good as mine.

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

The lawsuit was initiated by Republicans and Independents, neither control the ballot box

What did you find to be the most damning fact that the court identified?
