Speed limit 65 MPH. Get behind someone doing 63. Set my cruise on 65 and take time passing them for 3 miles or so. LOL

Yep. The amount of dumbass drivers on the roads nowadays never ceases to amaze me.

And don’t get me started on the idiots driving down the highway with their cell phones stuck up in front of their faces and texting. 😡

Even the "Professionals" - I swear, sometimes truckers are as bad as teen and '20's girls about texting!

I'll go so far as to say that men from 35-65 are the absolute worst. Younger people and women seem to be able to do it with fewer issues. I have seen horrible ones in all ethnic, gender and age groups, but 35-65 males are the worst.

I like that dude's videos. I can't help but think some of our members who seem to have LEO related PTSD disorders may have been traumatized by his smartassery at some point.

I run with an Escort Redline 360 and Waze on. No speeding ticket in 20+ years. If I am driving the speed limit it's only because I'm on my way to Mach I.

I’ve seen more than a few left lane campers get dusted with dried salt in the rumble strips on the shoulder on I87. They move over quick. Hilarious

I don't play games when driving. Probably because I'm a lifelong motorcycle rider. I do whatever's possible to stay out of people's way.

A 2 lane highway leads to the road that I live on. People habitually speed on that highway. It's not unheard of for people to pass me doing 70+ when I'm doing 5 mph over the 55 speed limit on the 2 lane highway.

I move over a little and hit the brakes a bit for them when they pass me. I try to keep those idiots from killing themselves to the best of my ability.

That stretch of 1-10 in the OP, between Phoenix and Tucson is notorious for major accidents with fatalities. It’s the one highway I hated to drive when I made frequent trips from Phoenix to Casa Grande.

Ohio Buckeye drivers are the worst! We live across the river from Ohio and there's a running joke about slow drivers in the passing lane nearly always being Buckeyes. I've been on vacation hundreds of miles from home and seen Buckeye drivers holding up traffic in the left lane.

I've pulled some "fecal cranium" stunts in my time, but for the most part, they were youthful ignorance and exuberance! i.e. stupidity 😖

These days, left lane is for passing, right lane is for speed limit driving. Three lanes, I take the center.
With cruise, I set it 4mph above the limit.
What perturbs me is when I'm doing 74 in a 70 and I look in my review and here comes a "herd" of vehicles doing WAY over the speed limit.
I call them "wolf packs"! There always seems to be AT LEAST one jacked up, monster tired 4WD with stacks or loud pipes defying everything their vehicle stands for! LOL!
When a wolf pack rushes in, I slow down just enough to let them go WAY ahead. I want nothing to do with their shenanigans!

The next is the semi that just KNOWS he can pass the semi in the other lane.....and he ain't giving up the inside lane until he's successful! 😖 The semi being passed ain't about to give up the momentum he's achieved! HE ain't slowing down to help clear the road! 😡

Then, there's the "motersickles"!
Passing on the shoulder, running the striped line or some other stupid, life altering stunt! Usually at 90+mph!

(sung to the tune of Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Cryin' In The Rain"!)
"Blue hair driving in my lane!"
Granny is white knuckle in the fast lane and she ain't doing more than 45 mph, even at the risk of missing the K-Mart "blue light special"!

Am I the perfect driver? Heck no! ....but I try!

About 3 years ago, the wife and me drove to Phoenix, AZ.
We traveled US Hwy 287 to Amarillo, TX, IH40 out to Flagstaff, AZ then south to Phoenix.
Interstate 40, from Amarillo, TX out to Flagstaff, AZ was absolutely INSANE!
Speed limit was 75mph. If you weren't doing 80+mph, the SEMI'S would run over you! 🤯
Truck traffic was unbelievable, accounting for at least 40% of traffic!

Reminds me,..a couple of years ago, New Years day--that same stretch of 2 lane highway.

A raggedy ass old Toyota Corolla came rolling up on me weaving all here and there and passed me doing about 75--literally tossed a tall boy beer can out the window as he pulled back in front of me.

I'm not much for calling the cops on people. But if I had my phone on me I would have called him in. He was going to get somebody killed.

I spent 43 years on the highways of Southwest Montana and put on about 1.5 Million miles. I saw every kind of bad driver there is. But you ain't seen nothing until you get into Yellowstone Park...

Yep! Come and visit us soon. (or not so soon, I may be in the left lane ahead of you) LOL!
Are you a speeder, poacher or how do you break the law? Steal tips from the waitress at the tables?
Me? Worst I do is poison loose dogs in the neighborhood that crap in my yard. I HATE dogs.

Then I go cuddle up with my cat and take a nap. She feels better with no dogs in the yard.

I-80 between Omaha and Des Moines is my least favorite piece of Interstate Highway because it is rolling hills, you're either going up or your going down, and there are always a lot of trucks on the road. You'll get behind a group of several trucks and when one attempts to pass the ones ahead of him, he'll block the left lane for several miles if get behind him on the uphill side of a roll.

i run 5-7 mph over the posted limit (to avoid tickets)... i move over ASAP if someone approaches my bumper... if that ain't good enough, they can GF themselves!......

Yep. Speed limit is the key.
I speed all the time, everywhere.
But don't get pissed at those driving the limit.

Until the camp in the hammer lane without passing anyone, if they are passing that's good enough.

Laffin…. You must be kidding. I’ve driven that stretch several times, and it doesn’t hold a candle to I-85 between Charlotte and Atlanta. Not even close. That stretch can be absolute traffic misery.
