I’m at a gun show and saw this Savage 99 in 303 Savage. I was wondering if anyone had a quick idea of its value. It is in extremely good shape, serial numbered in 200XXX range. Lever is vivid case color, blueing is 95% and wood is 95%. It looks to be refinished and reblued. That detracts from collector value.

I recently bought one from a member of this forum for 900-bucks that was in damn good shape. I was happy with the price. However, if the 99 in your picture could talk I bet it would say "ouch." What's up with that gloss? I'd keep looking if it was me and put the money towards something more solid.

Whats the SN of the gun below it? Looks to be a prett early td Looks like a big hunk of wood missing from the tang. I'd call that middle one an A. I do not see a takedown latch. Regardless, been totally redone from what I can see. I'd pass.

That is so not a $1400 rifle. You can do much better if you start to focus on it.
