So what real world velocities are all you H4350 lovers getting? In 22" barrels Book numbers for velocity with 4350 are considerably lower than those for StaBall 6.5 or RL-16. I'm about to start load development for a new rifle & have all of those plus plenty of other choices. Thanks. MM I am using 40.5 grains of H4350, CCI200, 147 ELD, Alpha brass. In my 22" Kimber Montana I am getting 2680 from those. RL17 and 26 are a bit faster, but I haven't messed with 16 or SB6.5 which should both be pretty good as well.

I’ve got a few boxes of 127s on the shelf and a bunch of RL17 and Big Game. How are speeds? I wouldn't expect more than 2,800 fps with those powders. Probably good accuracy though. I don't fool around with going over book max. Check StaBall 6.5, if you want a little more speed. I've found pretty good accuracy with that powder as well. I've been getting about 2870 fps and good accuracy with 44.0 grains of RL-16 and the 127 g LRX in a Weatherby Vanguard with a 24 inch barrel.

I shoot the 120 gr. Ballistic Tip almost exclusively in my 6.5 Creedmoor over 39.5 gr. Of Varget for a velocity of 2900 fps. Very accurate in my Tikka T3x.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

Previously I posted about using StaBall6.5 and Reloder 16 and others have as well.
Since that time, I have started shooting / trying Hybrid100v in my Bergara Premier mountain 22in. I haven't tried that powder with the 140 class bullets but with 130 Sierras, and 130 Nosler Accubonds I've been getting 2930s with both bullets combined with great hunting accuracy (.6 and smaller) at 100yds.

I've never used 100V, but I see that it's readily available.
I'm working with a new gun & the 130 Sierra is one of the 2 bullets I'm planning to work with, along with the Berger 135.
StaBall 6.5 & RL-16 are the 2 powders I want to wring out, but that is great velocity & great accuracy with that powder. I really don't want to stock another powder as I have plenty of the others, but depending on results, it's always nice to have another potentially good powder available.
H4350 may be great but it comes up short on velocity.
What kind of rifle, barrel length?

MM MM my rifle is a Bergara Premier Mountain 2.0 with a 22in barrel. Reloder 16 and StaBall6.5 have been good for me as well, and H4350 is good as well. FWIW, Im getting 2834 fps with 42.4gr of H4350 and the 130gr Sierra HPBT Gameking. I haven't tried the H4350 with the 130 Sierra Gamechanger in this particular rifle. My son has a Mossberg Patriot that shoots the Gamechanger over 41.5gr of H4350 but I dont have a velocity on that one.

H4350 is still on my list but, secondary to RL-16 & StaBall 6.5, at least until I see what they will do, but that's the 1st solid data I've seen with 130's & H4350.

I have 143's loaded with 44 gr. Staball 6.5 I'll be running past the chrony. Looking for low SD's and ES's.
Too many other loads using H4350 so looking to off-load one of 'em with something equivalent or better. StaBall 6.5 is not going to be "better" per se, but it will be a good substitution. I use it when I don't want to dip into my stash of H4350. I was out with my Tikka superlite yesterday, checking a couple different loads. One being the one I use in one of my CTR's. It did alright in my superlite, even though it was tailored around another rifle: Finally got around to trying StaBall 6.5 in the 6.5CM factory 22" barrel this morning. The best load of the bunch was 44.0 grains with a 5-shot MV average of 2,721 fps and S-D of 4.6, and E-S of 12. I'm going to tinker with 0.2 grains on either side of the 44 grain load and see what happens. In any case, I think it's time I rustle up a keg of StaBall 6.5  I tried both sides of 44.0 grains and 44.0 ended up the most consistent. Oh, yea, and I went ahead and bought a keg. Next up is the 143 grain BondStrike bullet using StaBALL 6.5. It would be nice if they group best with a charge of 44.0 grains, but I doubt I'll be that lucky. I'll find out tomorrow. The BondStrike just had to be a little different. 43.9 gr. StaBall 6.5 vs the ELDX with 44.0 gr. StaBall 6.5. Sheesh.
It's you and the bullet, and all the rest is secondary.
