Most of mine date from the 50’s and 60’s. Think I have two from the 30’s. Have to look. Lately I’ve been smoking a lot of Captain Black Original. I inherited a bunch of it. Also been smoking some Dunhill Standard Mixture Mellow and Ole Shenandoah Single Cask.

For pipes, been smoking my clays and German Jägerpfeifes a lot lately.

Nice.

Cool pipes. Got inspired by your pic from another thread. The pipe got comments. And the muttonchops, lol.

I'll bet you have some great stories.

Gosh I miss a pipe, gave it up along with cigars when & slammed down the cigs.

But a Comoy or 2 were my faves. Captain Black my go to store bought, but a local tobacconist' enhanced version was was such a treat I bought it 8 ozs. at a time.

I liked Borkum Riff, but CB ruled. Few disagreed.

My last Kaywoodie acquisition. A 13b "Author". (1950-1972). Was at the local junkatoriom where ranch boss has a booth. A whopping $12 with the stand! It was one of the firms most popular models.

Shaun - you need to make a trip up here the next time Bob's passing through.
The man is very knowledgeable - and has some GREAT stories!

Mark,

I think Dudley and I are going to the big gathering at Hacienda de los Martinez in Taos. First weekend in June. We’ll be doing survey demos.

Will be in touch!

Bob

You've got that right, Miles! Good morning!
Bob, are you bringing the boss, also?
Have time to spend on the Santa Fe Trail?

My father had a couple of Kaywoodie pipes. I don't know all of the brands of tobacco he smoked, but the names Borkum Riff and Mac Baren come to mind.
