A local teacher got arrested for carrying a ruler, a protractor, a calculator, and a book containing a table of trigonometric functions. He was charged with possession of "weapons of math instruction"!

Never found a use for algebra, on the other hand geometry and trig proved to be very useful.

I go about daily life without the alphabet soup of algebraic equations very nicely.
