If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
This is my new IBS Heavy Gun Stock, delivered yesterday from McMillan. It was ordered Feb. 6th 2008. It is a 50HBR in a Flat Top configuration with 6 to 8 lbs. of lead added to the butt, it should weight 21 lbs. Colors are Medium Blue to Blue to Black Butt in a flame pattern. I think it turned out almost exactly as I wanted it to. I have a set of Bill Shehane's Chromed Steel Slides that will be afixed to the bottom of the forearm (Front Slide is 8" wide) and to the bottom of the butt (Rear slide is 3" wide). I'll be fabricating a 316 Grade Stainless Butt Plate over the next two weeks. I'll post another pic when the Butt is installed.
Nice.....very nice 60%white,20%light gray, 20%Dark gray will be my next order......hope it turns out as good as yours I've copied a mixture of color precentages before to have it turn out totally different......always left me wondering if the posted percentages were correct......kinda like a good cook omitting the secert ingredient when passing down the recipe.
Brother Bill, that McSwirly mixture on that SS rifle looks awesome. Is that bead blast finish on the barrel and action? It almost looks coated in something but I can't quite tell. If so what is it?
